International Foundation Programme WAEC (WASSCE) Sufficient grades in at least 5 subjects (minimum D). Students not progressing to Law: IELTS 5.0 with no single element below 4.0, or equivalent, from a UKVI Approved centre

Students progressing to Law: IELTS 5.5 with no single element below 4.0, or equivalent, from a UKVI Approved centre

 

NECO Sufficient grades in at least 5 subjects (minimum D).

 

Ulster University

For entry to Ulster Proposed International Entry Qualifications
English and
Maths requirements
All students applying for an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree or the Graduate Certificate at QAHE are required to meet our standard English Language Requirements.

Students must also provide evidence that they satisfy the requirements for Maths (i.e. equivalent to a Grade C in GCSE. For students presenting qualifications from Nigeria, they must have at least a C6 in Maths as part of the WAEC/NECO (B3 in Maths for BSc Hons Accounting and Management).

Students with good results (C6 and above) results in at least 5 subjects from the SSCE (WAEC/NECO) can be considered.
UG
Programmes
Students must hold at least 5 credit passes (4 – 6) from the SSCE (WAEC/NECO) AND have passed one of the following:

a recognised Foundation/Access course
OR
a minimum of 2 Cambridge A Levels
OR
year 1 (level 100) of a recognised Nigerian degree course
OR
an Ordinary National Diploma (OND/ND)
OR
a National Certificate of Education

Students with lower OND/ND grades or low Year 1 results may be considered for entry onto an International Foundation Programme.

For advanced entry to an Undergraduate Degree Programme:

If students hold at least 5 credit passes (4 – 6) from the SSCE (WAEC/NECO) AND hold a Higher National Diploma with at least a lower credit in a relevant subject they may be considered (at the School’s discretion) for advanced entry.

*Classification: Distinction, Upper/Lower Credit and pass, look for at least a lower credit.

Grading System (SSCE): A1 (excellent), B2 – 3 (good), C4 – 6 (credit), D7 – 8 (pass), F9 (fail).

International Foundation Programme 12 or 13 years of schooling dependent on the education system in your country. 3 term programme: IELTS minimum 4.5 overall with a minimum of 4.0 in each individual component from a UKVI Approved Centre

2 term programme: IELTS minimum 5.0 overall with a minimum of 4.5 in each individual component from a UKVI Approved Centre

Pre-Sessional English The requirements for your chosen target course 15 week programme: up to 1.5 IELTS subscore below the requirement for your target course

10 week programme: up to 1.0 IELTS subscore below the requirement for your target course

5 week programme: up to 0.5 IELTS subscore below the requirement for your target course

International Year One – Business Good High School Grades, or equivalent IELTS 5.5 with no band below 5.5 from a UKVI Approved Centre
