Postgraduate Accounting Programme Launched At Ulster University London

We are pleased to announced the launch of the MSc Strategic Accounting, as a continuation of the long-time partnership between QA Higher Education and Ulster University.

In light of the ACCA’s findings in the “Professional Accountants” the future: Drivers of Change and Future Skills research paper where they predict accountants will be impacted by drivers that include governance, digital technology and governance, we are excited to offer a postgraduate qualification that prepares future accountants to thrive in this new landscape.

The MSc Strategic Accounting combines the development of high level of accounting, leadership, business and professional skills required for success in a career as a Chartered Certified Accountant. The programme has been designed so it embeds the ACCA’s strategic professional papers allowing students to prepare for these exams through the degree.

Course modules encourage students to lead, report on and manage accounting projects in a variety of global contexts, as well as improve their own communication and specific accounting knowledge.

Commenting on the launch Tim Harris, Ulster University Branch Campuses Executive Dean, said “this MSc Strategic Accounting is a great addition to our course offering as part of our partnership with Ulster University. The programme is a great opportunity for students to develop their competencies in strategic accounting as well as broadening their awareness of data analytics or cyber security, increasingly seen as core competencies for accounting professionals. Embedded preparation for the ACCA professional exams also supports learners in their journey toward professional qualification. We look forward to welcoming our first cohort in September.”
