John Howell

Senior Dean of Faculty

John has been the Senior Dean of Faculty at QA Higher Education since 2017. Prior to this he was Associate Dean for a number of years at Hult International Business School and Kaplan Holborn College, with his career before that being Programme Management roles in a number of HE and FE institutions after graduation. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of West London, a PGCE from Greenwich University, an MA from Middlesex University, an MSc from Kings College London and is working towards a Doctorate in Education from the Institute of Education at UCL.

At QA Higher Education, John has responsibility for the academic faculty across the Business and Management programmes at our Rosebery Avenue (London), Birmingham and Manchester campuses. This involves working closely with our Quality Department, the lecturing teams, and of course our University partners.

John teaches subjects in the Human Resource Management area of Business and Management although much of his current role is centred on academic management rather than teaching.

As part of his doctorate, John is actively engaged in academic research focusing on international students and their adjustment to new ways of learning.
