QA, the UK’s largest tech skills and talent provider, today announced that Geoff Webster will become CEO of its Higher Education business when Julie Noone steps down from the role in May 2021.

Under Julie’s leadership since 2014, the business has grown year on year from 1 to 6 university partners and now has more than 4,000 students.

Geoff brings more than 10 years of experience in the higher education sector to QA. Since its launch in 2016, Geoff has been Managing Director of CEG Digital, part of the Cambridge Education Group. Working closely with partner universities, he has helped to create online and blended university programmes to students around the world. Prior to CEG, Geoff served as Group Strategy and Business Development Director at INTO University Partnerships – a leading international company which partners with UK, US and Chinese universities.

Julie will remain as a non-executive director of QA’s Higher Education business.

Paul Geddes, CEO of QA commented:

“Julie has made a significant contribution to the growth of our Higher Education business which has continued to perform strongly in spite of all the challenges faced by the sector during 2020. I am hugely proud of everything that QA’s Higher Education business has achieved with Julie at its helm. I am delighted to welcome Geoff to the QA team. He brings a wealth of experience in building higher education programmes that deliver the flexibility valued by today’s part-time adult learners. He joins the business at a very exciting time in the evolution of adult learning.”

Geoff Webster commented:

“I am delighted to be joining the QA Higher Education team. With 6 university partnerships already in place, QA has an established and well-respected offering in the higher education sector. With continued exciting demand for UK higher education in emerging markets, now is a really good time for QA Higher Education to build on its success, offering high quality and flexible degree courses that meet students’ needs.”

Julie Noone commented:

“The QA Higher Education business has been on a tremendous journey over the last 6 years. I look forward to supporting its continued development under Geoff’s leadership.”
