QA Higher Education is delighted to announce a new International Year One (Business) at the University of Roehampton Pathway College.
Recognising the particular experiences of international students who come to study in the UK, the International Year One is a fantastic route into Level 5 study. It offers additional support in the English language and academic skills necessary for an undergraduate degree whilst developing the subject specific knowledge in business or accounting.
Semester-based modules can be quite challenging for new international students as it requires having to learn new knowledge very quickly and prepare for assessments. So, for this International Year One, the structure allows for the gradual assimilation to UK academic life through early targeted English and academic support, as well as spread subject-specific modules over a longer period.
This programme offers progression onto any of the undergraduate degrees at the University of Roehampton’s Business School, many of which hold professional accreditations and exemptions to industry bodies.
Commenting on the launch, Director of Pathways Ruth Perkins said, we’re thrilled to offer international students a fast track route into year 2 of their chosen undergraduate degree at Roehampton’s Business School. The programme takes in to consideration the needs of students as learning can take place face to face on campus, fully online or blended.
The International Year One is a fantastic opportunity for like-minded international students to learn together and familiarise themselves to life in the UK in a supportive and encouraging environment.
The International Year One (Business) is available at the Pathway College at the University of Roehampton from November 2020, with a further intake in February. Please visit the course page below for more information.
